The CFO Organization and the Technology Services Group (TSG) are the joint developers of Pacific Bell's Financial Data Warehouse.

The Pacific Bell Technology Services Group (TSG) Web Site.
TSG and the CFO Organization are the joint developers of Pacific Bell's Financial Data Warehouse.

The Pacific Bell Metadata Products and Services Web Site.
Metadata is a textual description of the structure of data; in other words it's "data about data". This valuable site contains information on Data Standards for naming and storing data, Guidelines for data developers, and a special section devoted to Pac Bell's Data Warehouse Metadata.

The Pacific Bell Corporate Intelligence Center Web Site.
Pacific Bell's Corporate Intelligence Center provides a wealth of on-line information, including numerous Writing & Composing Aids, Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Demographics & Statistics, and several On-line Desktop Information Services. The CIC is an extremely valuable resource, and certainly worth investigating.

The Pacific Bell Standard Desktop Web Site.
The Standard Desktop web site contains several vaulable resources relating to technical writing and documentation management. These include a site for Cool Tools, a discussion of Styles, and a wonderful intoduction to Web Publishing.

The Pacific Bell Document Management Web Site.
This site describes the effort by the Standard Desktop Management Team to define the requirements for an enterprise-wide electronic document management system. The system they have selected is the Saros Document Management System. Saros is a business unit of FileNet.

This site contains an extensive list of on-line references, including dictionaries, encyclopedias, directories, acronyms, usage guides, etc. You name it, it's here.

The WWWebster Dictionary.
What can you do here? Look up a definition, pronunciation, etymology, spelling, or usage point in the WWWebster Dictionary and Thesaurus (the on-line version of Merriam-Webster's Collegiate(R) Dictionary, Tenth Edition). Check out the Word of the Day.

Roget's Thesaurus.
This one needs no introduction.

Instant geekness, guaranteed! Cyberlanguage decoded.

Britannica Online.
The on-line version of the world's most respected reference collection. It's not free, but a free trial version is available.

Electric Library.
An excellent research resource. Very reasonable prices and a free trial period.

Grolier's Interactive.
A popular multimedia encyclopedia. Available as a subscription service. Free trial period.

Reference Shelf.
A jumping off point for references to geographic data, phone numbers, words, weights and measures, and more.

Reference Sources on the Internet.
Wow!!! An excellent list of business, computer, humanities, and science reference documents (acronyms, dictionaries, etc.). Also fact books, libraries, and general reference resources.

Webster's Hypertext Dictionary.
A point-and-click client interface for accessing the various Webster's dictionary services on the Internet.

WWW Virtual Library.
